How to Take a Perfect Fingerprint for Online Forms
No special equipment needed. Use standard office ink and your phone:
- 01Get a stamp pad with blue or black ink
Use a standard office stamp pad. Avoid red or coloured inks — they may not be accepted by automated scanners at exam centres.
- 02Press your left thumb firmly on the pad
Roll gently left to right to get an even coat of ink across the entire fingertip.
- 03Roll the impression onto clean white A4 paper
Press and roll gently to capture the full ridge pattern. Avoid smearing. Only use plain white paper.
- 04Let the ink dry completely (30–60 seconds)
Wet ink photographs blurry. The impression should be sharp, dark, and fully dry before photographing.
